Kelsey's First Haircutt

Last week cousin Irene came over and cut all of the girl's hair, however this was Kelsey's first haircutt..ever! She actually did pretty well, and she looks so grown up with her bangs. We all think she is so cute! Thanks to Irene for some great haircutts!

Lucy Turns 5!

Because we were going to be in St. George on Lucy's real birthday, and that cousin Peyton was leaving for Michigan, we celebrated Lucy's birthday on Tuesday, July 11th. Lucy's party was going to the "Salon" and getting her hair styled and make-up done. She invited Emma and Peyton, and her sisters. Then we went to Shave Ice. It was a pretty easy party for mom! That night the Kilpatrick's came over for cake and presents. I think Lucy has a pretty fun day. Then on her real birthday in St. George she got more presents, a fun day of swimming, and carrot cake! What a lucky girl. But we are lucky too to have sweet little crazy Lucy in our family. Lucy getting her make-up done.

One Week...Two New Nephews

On Tuesday, July 6th Edward Kristopher (or Eddie) was born to Kori and Dave. Her due date was not until the 15th, but he must have been excited to come. On Friday, July 9th Mason Scott was born to Corey and Jessica. Her due date was not until the 13th, but he must have wanted to give his dad a birthday present (he was born on Corey's birthday). We were so excited to get two new nephews in one week - one on each side of the family!

Mason Scott The girls holding little Mason. We were so lucky to be able to go to St. George and see Uncle Robert and new cousin Mason. We got to see Mason on his one week birthday. Sadly I forgot my camera on that trip, but it was really great to see Robert after two years.

Kelsey Turns 2!/4th of July

On July 5th our little Kelsey turned 2! I can't believe she is a full blown toddler...I still call her 'baby' all the time. She is wild, but lots of fun! Since the 4th was on a Sunday, Utah celebrated the 4th on Monday, and Kelsey's birthday became a birthday/4th of July celebration! Kelsey woke up to a sign and presents that her sisters had made for her.

Camping at Willow Flat

We pretty much only go camping once a year, but we love it! We go to the Kilpatrick family's nostalgic spot at Willow Flat campground near the family farm in Franklin, ID. It really is a beautiful, beautiful place. We have a lot of fun together, and normally have some sort of disaster to remember the year by. This year is the year of Blake falling in the river. It was a very innocent accident and luckily Katie was there in literally two seconds to save him. Other than that we had a pretty uneventful, fun time hiking, fishing, relaxing, and eating!

Lake Powell

We were so lucky to go on a trip to Lake Powell over Memorial Day weekend. We had perfect weather and even though the lake was a little cold we had TONS of fun! We were surrounded by beautiful scenery, wonderful people, and over course, lots of good food. A HUGE thank you to Mellissa and Deb for their generousity in providing this fun trip! The awesome boat we got to stay on. Even though there were 44 of us, it didn't even feel that crowded...I'm being serious!

Mary got to wakeboard for the second time in her life. She went a couple times and did so good. She loved it!

Lucy made a new friend Kylie on our trip. They played so cute together. Here was their favorite game...put sand all over our bodies

and then wash it off! This is the most Lucy got in the water. Swimming isn't her thing yet.

The villan and his two victims...just kidding, but on this occasion Nate pushed Kathryn in the water and in her instict to try and not fall in she grabbed on to Mary and pulled her in too. Mary got a little freaked out, but everyone was fine and even Mary was laughing a few minutes later.

Mary was so brave and jumped off the top of the house boat! Mom did too, but luckily we didn't get a picture of that.

On the last day, Kacy finally got in the water (it was quite cold). Here he is swimming with Mary and Brynn.

Kelsey is a very energentic little toddler, and there are 3 reasons I think she might be our boy...
1. The minute Kelsey laid eyes on this outfit at Trey's birthday party, she fell in love. She was screaming "ruff ruff" all night. Cousin Trey was kind enough to let her have it, and she LOVES to wear it.

2. She really likes to play with cars, trucks, etc. When we visited cousin Colin she loved his matchbox cars (and even took a couple home with her). This is a tractor that Rowen left at our house much to Kelsey's delight.

3. When Kelsey saw these underwear (they are cousin Blake's) she went crazy. She asked me to put them on her, and was very happy to model them for me. When I finally took them off her, she threw QUITE the fit.

So there, nobody needs to feel bad for us that we haven't had a boy...we are getting a taste of it...and we love it. Kelsey cracks us up regularly!
